Trade Mission to East Africa

The Africa Business Centre will lead a trade mission to East Africa in November 2011. The mission will focus on opportunities in the Oil & Gas industry and associated sectors such as ITC, Education & Training and Finance. The trade mission will benefit companies wishing to research opportunities, enter the supply chain or forge partnerships with local businesses. Uganda holds new but fast growing reserves of oil and gas estimated at 2bn barrels. Production is expected to be 150,000 bdp in 5 to 10 years. Important opportunities lie in both upstream and downstream activites including exploration, refinery, engineering consultancy and services, construction and civil works and training.
Tanzania's current natural gas reserves have risen to more than 10 trillion cubic feet (tcf) from a previous estimate of 7.5 tcf following major gas discoveries in the country’s deep-water offshore region last month.

ABC's trade missions are reknowned for delivering high value to participants with briefings, site visits and networking events. Whether you are looking to strengthen existing links with local organisations or want to find out about what these countries have to offer, you will be part of a comprehensive and rewarding business-focused visit. This will be ABC’s third market visit to East Africa and will be led by its Director, Jon Woodwards who has over thirty years of experience of international trade in the energy sector.
