Imbewu (Anix Trading cc t/a Imbewu)

Imbewu Rope access Inspection and maintenance was a company born out of a need for an African owned, high quality rope access service provider into the South African industrial sector.  Formed in 2001, Imbewu is a marriage between the marketing skills of Thulani Manqele, the business background of Themba Ngcobo and the technical and administration skills of Curtis Kruger and Clive Oldewage. Since its inception, Imbewu has provided Rope access skills for National brands, MTN and specifically, Engen refinery, amongst others.  Over the last three years, it has focused solely on Engen refinery, being a critical partner in Engens safety and maintenance program.

Imbewu uses Rope access staff certified to RAFAA and IRATA standards, and it uses staff skilled in Ultra thickness testing (UTM) as well as a range of other NDT (Non destructive testing) disciplines.  Our NDT procedures comply with international standards and are currently pursuing our ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.

Over and above our world class Inspection services, Imbewu also provides a range of other high level services using Rope access.  These include Insulation, repair and maintenance work.  Our portfolio of work to date includes roofing repair, cleaning, High pressure cleaning, blasting and painting (Corrosion control).
