Local Economic Development - Growth Fund

The LEDGF is a departmental initiative specifically aimed at existing business that wants to expand their business and become more competitive and productive within their current scope of business and region.

 The Fund assist business with funding (50/50 principle) in the form of a grant.

 The scope to what can be funded is wide, there is no closing date for the Fund and there is no minimum or maximum amount the businesses can apply for.

 There are however some criteria and exclusions. The application form attached above sets out these.

 We do however hope for a bigger impact when it comes to assisting businesses and that is why we require that businesses apply jointly with at least another business for a similar or same type of intervention.

 As SPVs you have access to business in your industry that might want to make use of this fund.

 It is thus requested that if there is any further interest in the fund, to please contact me in order to set up a meeting and discuss the possibilities.
