Global Spec (Pty) Ltd was formed in 1991 and is wholly owned by 2 partners since its inception. The company's approved worldwide as service supplier in Non-Destructive testing and Inspection Services by ABS, BV, DNV,-GL, KR, RINA, Lloyds, NKK, Russian Maritime register of Shipping.
Apart from several years of experience in the industry where an enormous range of tests from simple welds on mild steel to high complex welds on high pressure stainless steel lines were conducted, the marine branch has been invited to perform some of the most complex assessments offshore. A proud record is the repairs and re-certification survey of more than 2 million meters of stud link mooring chain for the offshore oil exploration and diamond mining industries, a feat never accomplished before in Southern Africa, we also just recently designed & built our own stud press machine for loose studs not required to weld.

The marine division has trebled its total output capacity since last year and is still growing. The success are due mainly to the owners direct input and extensive marine and industrial engineering experience which both founder members qualified as engineering artisans prior to establishing Global Spec (Pty) Ltd.
